<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constructing block of thymine glycol, and to provide a method for synthesizing a long chain DNA having the thymine glycol in a high yield and in high purity by using the block. SOLUTION: This thymine glycol constructing block of the general formula (I) [R1 is a protecting group; R2 is H o TBDMS (tert-butyldimethylsilyl); R3 is PH(O)-O or P(R4)R5; R4 is methyl or 2-cyanoethyl; R5 is N(R') (R",N- morpholino, N-pyrrolidinyl or 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-N-piperidyl; R' and R" are each independently a lower alkyl]. The thymine glycol constructing block was synthesized, and a DNA containing the block was further synthesized.</p> |
