ORAL COMPOSITION OF 8-CHLORO-6,11-DIHYDRO-11-(4- PIPERIDILYDENE)-5H-BENZO[5,6]CYCLOHEPTA[1,2-b]PYRIDINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pharmaceutical composition suitable for the oral administration to mammals and containing descarbonylethoxyloratadine(DCL) having stationary chemical and physical properties in accordance with the existing health registration requirements of the United States and international health organizations (e.g. FDA Good Manufacturing Practice, Guideline of the International Conference on Harmonization of Drug Regualtion). SOLUTION: This pharmaceutical composition is such one that antiallergically effective amounts of DCL is contained in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier medium containing a DCL-protective amount of a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, wherein the composition contains <1 wt.% of N-formyl DCL.
