SOLID CATALYST COMPONENT FOR OLEFINS POLYMERIZATION, CATALYST AND ELECTRON DONOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid catalyst component for olefins polymerization and a catalyst whereby the olefins polymer can be obtained at high yield, especially a propylene polymer can be obtained at high yield while maintaining high stereoregularity and high capability of response to hydrogen is obtained, and to provide an electron donor contained in the component as an active component. SOLUTION: The component and catalyst are constructed by (a) a magnesium compound, (b) titanium tetrachloride and (c) a phthalic diester derivative represented by formula (I). The donor contains the derivative as an active component.
