<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a webbing take-up device having a force limiter capable of enhancing initial restraining performance. SOLUTION: Shear ribs 76, 82 are formed on the bottom part 72A of the engagement hole 72 of a spool 20 for positioning a lock base 40, the end part 74A of a positioning part 74 abuts on the shear rib 76, and the end part 74B of the positioning part 74 abuts on the shear rib 82. Ribs 78, 80 are formed between the shear ribs 76, 82. If the spool 20 rotates in the withdrawal direction with respect to the lock base 40, the end part 74A of the positioning part 74 deforms and ruptures the shear rib 76, the shear ribs 78, 80, and the shear rib 82 in this order, an amount of absorbed energy for this deformation part of each rib 76-80 is superimposed on the torsional deformation part of a torsion bar, and thereby, a force limiter load right after the rotation start of the spool 20 is increased.</p> |
