PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for directly producing a formed copper product from a copper-containing material. SOLUTION: This process for producing a copper product is composed of a stage (A) in which a copper-containing material is brought into contact with a water based leaching liquor to form a water based leach liquor having a high copper content, a stage (B) in which the water based leach liquor is brought into contact with a water insoluble extracting agent, and copper ions are moved to the extracting agent to form an extract having a high copper content and a water based leach liquor depleted of copper, a stage (C) in which the extract having a high copper content is separated from the leach liquor, a stage (D) in which the extract having a high copper content is brought into contact with a stripping solution, and copper ions are moved to the stripping solution to form a stripping solution having a high copper content and an extract depleted of copper, a stage (E) in which the stripping solution having a high copper content is separated from the extract, a stage (F) in which voltage is applied on the stripping solution to precipitate copper powder on a cathode, a stage (G) in which the copper powder is taken out from the cathode and a stage (H) in which the copper powder is extruded and is forged or formed to form a copper product.
