PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an atomic absorption spectrophotometer in which the change of an autosampler is not required at all when the analytical method is changed matching with the property of a sample or the concentration of a component to be measured contained in the sample. SOLUTION: When an analysis is performed by a flame method, a sampling nozzle 1 having a long length is moved onto a sample container 12 having a large volume as a target, an arm 8 is lowered, and the tip of the sampling nozzle 1 is put into a sample solution in the sample container 12. By using the negative pressure of an atomizer, the sample solution in a prescribed amount is sucked up into the sampling nozzle 1 so as to be introduced into the atomizer, and an atomic absorbance is measured. When an analysis is performed by an electric heating method, an arm tip 7 is turned 180 deg. by a motor (not indicated in the figure) which is built in the arm 8, a sampling nozzle 2 having a short length is put into a sample solution in a sample container 13 having a small volume, the sample solution is sucked by a syringe so as to be introduced into an electric heating furnace, and an atomic absorbance is measured. |
