PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect the surface of an equipment body in carrying or housing and miniaturize the whole equipment and further to prevent the twisting deterioration of a flexible print cable by the opening and closing of a lid part to ensure a stable performance over a long period. SOLUTION: This electronic equipment is a portable information terminal comprising the equipment body 2 with a built-in circuit board, the lid part 4 with a built-in circuit board rotatably connected to the equipment body 2 through a hinge part to cover the surface of the equipment body 2 by its closing directional rotation, and the flat flexible print cable 66 provided within the hinge part in the rotating axial direction to electrically connect the circuit board of the equipment body 2 to the circuit board of the lid part 4. The cable 66 is arranged within the hinge part so that the cable 66 is laid in a flat state in substantially the central position of the rotatable angle range from full- opening position to full-closing position of the lid part 4.
