PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorbing mechanism that combines both functions of a spring and a damper. SOLUTION: A shock absorbing part 4 is inserted in an extension coil type main spring 2. The shock absorbing part 4 has a structure wherein a compression coil type return spring 7 and a movable body 8 are inserted in a cylinder 6 having an air escape 5, and viscous oil 10 is interposed between the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder 6 and the outer circumferential surface of the movable body 8. When the main spring 2 is returned in a compressing direction from an extended state, the shock absorbing part 4 receives the returning force of the main spring 2 from both sides, or one end of the cylinder and an outer end 9 of the movable body 8, to exert a damping effect.
