PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a profitable carrying assisting device having simple construction, superior durability and efficient carrying workability, achieving reliable, smooth and light carrying even in the case of a relatively small force feeder, eliminating the need for large force feeder producing strong pressure and allowing compact construction of a carrying system. SOLUTION: The carrying assisting device mounted between given positions on carrying pipes A for assisting the carriage of materials comprises a pair of holding cylinders 10 mounted at the ends of one carrying pipe A and the other carrying pipe A opposed to each other, respectively, and connected to each other, a rotating cylinder 1 arranged across the pair of holding cylinders 10 and rotatably held, and a proper driving means for rotationally driving the rotating cylinder 1. A propelling vane member 2 is fixed to the inner surface of the rotating cylinder 1 and carrying force in a predetermined direction is granted to the material to be carried with the rotation of the propelling vane member 2 of the rotating cylinder 1.
