PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constantly provide grip regardless of a traveling road surface condition even in a hand cart of a rectangular shape long in a fore and aft direction. SOLUTION: In this power assist type hand cart, external force applied to an operation part 4 is detected to operate a driving part of a driving wheel 2 in accordance with an external force detected value. Wheels 3 and 3 are respectively arranged in right and left of a front side of a rectangular body 1 and wheels 2 and 2 are arranged in right and left of a rear side. A supporting body 5 attached to the body 1 so as to freely oscillate to right and left is provided by a spindle 50 matched with the fore and aft direction of the body 1 and the two wheels 2 and 2 which are driving wheels are respectively attached to right and left of the supporting body 5.
