PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vegetation bedrock material composition capable of being sprayed together with a greening material containing soil and seeds for plants on a slope as a simpler composition by aiming for the effective use of industrial waste soil or the like, the slope protection for road, development land or the like, the environment preservation and the promotion of the last view at a civil engineering work site and to provide a slope greening method making use thereof. SOLUTION: The vegetation bedrock material composition is constituted of a mixture containing a hemihydrate gypsum 20 to 90 pts.wt. and fine powder 80 to 100 pts.wt. of an alunite as main ingredients, the industrial waste soil such as fly ash or the like is compounded with the vegetation bedrock material composition 100 pts.wt. in the ratio of 5 to 40 pts.wt., or more slaked lime is compounded or trisodium citrate, or cane sugar is compounded as a hardening reaction retarder. The vegetation bedrock material composition is compounded with the greening material in the ratio of 0. 5 to 20 vol.%, and a mixture obtained by mixing a required amount of water therewith is sprayed on a bedrock material such as general slope, river peripheral slope, concrete wall surface slope, high place slope or the like in the ratio of 0.5 to 10 vol.% to green the slope.
