PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce no dead angle to a photo detecting part even if a remote controller is fitted to any of a left wall, a right wall, a front wall and the like of a rest room. SOLUTION: An upper left light emitting part 12a is disposed at a corner part between the top face 12 and the left side 13 of a remote controller main body 11, and an upper right light emitting part 12b is disposed at a corner part between the top face 12 and the right side 14. By this arrangement, even if the remote controller is fitted to any of the left wall, right wall and front wall of the rest room, al light signal is reflected on the ceiling of the rest room to be detected by the photo detecting part of a sanitary washing apparatus to surely operate the sanitary washing apparatus.
