PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with the handling time of preparing a preform by high temperature baking and volatilizing a water based solvent at the time of producing a composite material and to facilitate the control of the charging ratio of material composing a dispersed phase. SOLUTION: A pasty mixture 3 controlled in such a manner that ceramics powder 1 and a CMC aqueous solution are mixed (kneaded) is charged to a molding die 4. Next, the metal 5 in a melted state to form a matrix phase is poured into the molding die 4 in a pressurized state. When the molten metal 5 is poured into the molding die 4, the CMC 2 is fired away, and the molten metal is impregnated into the space between the ceramics powders 1. After the metal 5 of a prescribed amount almost satisfying the gap between the ceramics powders 1 is poured into the molding die 4, as feeder pressure, pressure in a degree same as that in diecast molding is applied. After the passage of a prescribed time, the molding die 4 is cooled, and the metal 5 is solidified and cooled. Then, a composite material 6 as a product is taken out from the molding die 4.
