PURPOSE: A system and a method for transmitting digital broadcast for broadcasting soccer games and a television receiver for watching soccer games are provided to display the whole soccer stadium on one screen. CONSTITUTION: A television receiver for watching soccer games includes a tuner(30), a detector(35), a packet decompression part(40), an image processor(50), an image reproduction part(80), and a display(90). The tuner receives a modulated broadcasting signal including a composite video signal made by mixing a plurality of regional video signals that is obtained by photographing divided regions of a soccer stadium. The detector removes a carrier from the modulated broadcasting signal and divides the composite video signal from the broadcasting signal. The packet decompression part decompresses the composite video signal packet and divides the packet into the regional video signals. The image processor processes the video signals to extract signals required for reproducing an image. The image reproduction part reproduces regional images. |
