PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control operation of shifting range of a controller supported type double transmission gear provided with a device for shifting range which automatically performs the operating of shifting range with which a driver begin. SOLUTION: This is the controller supported type manually shifted double transmission gear 10 and the method of controlling the operation of shifting range for the transmission gear and the shifting operation for a range portion 16B is automatically performed based on a command signal 56 from the controller 54 in response to the manual operation with which the driver usually begins, but under some actuated condition [(ESMIN<OS*GR) and (ESMAX<OS*GRCLR)], the operation of shifting down range is automatically performed without responding to the manual operation with which the driver begins. |
