PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a movable breakwater capable of reducing the weight of a door body and cost of the door body and an opening/closing mechanism. SOLUTION: A door body 23 moved up and down and opening/closing the entrance/exit 2 of a harbor is constituted of a framework of a truss structure and a skin plate 32 provided at the surface and the rear face of the framework. A plurality of wave absorbing holes 41 having a large diameter and wave absorbing holes 42 having a small diameter are formed on the skinplate 32. When the sea is calm, the door body 23 is raised by the opening/closing mechanism 24 so that ships can come and go through the entrance/exit. When the sea gets stormy and waves are high, the door body 23 is lowered by the opening/ closing mechanism 24 to shutt the entrance/exit 2 and absorb waves by a plurality of large diametral and small diametral wave absorbing holes 41, 42 of the skin plate 32. Further, energy of waves is dispersed in the framework to absorb waves.
