PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an activated carbon having a function of preventing the growing of mold. SOLUTION: The function is imparted to an activated carbon by impregnating the activated carbon with ethanol and subsequently drying the surface to activate the bactericidal property and volatility of the ethanol contained in it.
