PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide pottery for decorating which facilitates desired decorating and a method of manufacturing for the same. SOLUTION: This pottery 1 for decorating is a pottery allowing decorating on its surface and has a ground surface layer 6 consisting essentially of medium on its surface. The ground surface layer 6 of this pottery 1 for decorating is preferably formed on the surface of the glaze layer 4 formed on a pottery body 2. The pottery 1 for decorating is manufactured by forming, the ground surface layer 6 essentially consisting of the medium on the surface of the glaze layer 4 formed on the pottery body 2 by spray coating or screen printing.
