PURPOSE: Provided is a method for treating mixed waste materials containing cement or clay, sand and gravel, by which it is possible to recycle the sand and gravel since they do not have cement attached on their surfaces and an apparatus therefor. CONSTITUTION: The method includes the steps of introducing mixed waste materials containing cement or clay, sand and gravel along with water into a washing vessel of a rotating drum type; performing prewashing by removing the cement or clay attached onto the sand and gravel through rubbing and collision of each other by rotation of the washing vessel while supplying water and discharging the cement or clay by water drainage; separating the sand and gravel, followed by sieving to obtain clean sand and gravel.
