The hydraulic system, for the remote control of a switch or control, has at least one master cylinder (1) with a chamber where its volume is varied by a piston (3) in a cylinder body. The piston and the cylinder body can be moved in relation to each other by rotating a knob (10), to change the cylinder volume. The piston rod (4) is held at a carrier, which is threaded in the cylinder so that a rotary movement shifts the piston up and down by the screw threads. The piston gives a single or double action in the cylinder.
