摘要 <p>PURPOSE: A method for supporting multicall in interworking a non-synchronous radio network with a synchronous core network in the next generation mobile telecommunication system is provided to use several services such as a speech communication service, a moving picture service, and a wireless Internet service at the same time by providing an IOS message configuration defining parameters for multicall. CONSTITUTION: A mobile station is in an initialization state or an idle state(901). The mobile station obtains system information and timing information by obtaining a pilot channel and receives information related to a core network for updating the current state of the mobile station(903). An IS-2000 layer generates an origination message for transmitting to a base station of a radio network system and the radio network system generates a CM service request message to transmit the origination message to an upper layer of the core network(905). A mobile switching center of the core network determines whether a call request of the mobile station is for an initialization call or an additional call(907). In case of requesting initialization call, the mobile switching center transmits a traffic channel assignment request message to a base station controller, so that the mobile station is assigned with a traffic channel, and the mobile switching center remembers a mobile station ID and a call ID(909). The mobile station assigned with traffic channel transmits user data through assigned traffic channel(911). The mobile station releases the assigned traffic channel and is converted into the initialization state(913). In case of requesting the additional call, the mobile switching center searches a mobile station ID and a call ID table remembered related to the mobile station assigned with traffic channel(915). The call ID table is updated by adding a call ID of a traffic channel to be newly assigned(917).</p>
