TALKING UTENSIL

A talking spoon in which the electrical components for emitting a sound in response to utilization of the spoon such as in a cereal bowl includes an electrical circuit including a power source and a speaker (34), memory chip (32) and contacts (30) located in the handle (12) of the spoon. The handle is totally encapsulated so that moisture or other impurities can not get into the handle and thus destroy the electrical circuit and any components thereof.
