BIDIRECTIONAL OPERATION TYPE GAS CIRCUIT BREAKER

PURPOSE: A bidirectional operation type gas circuit breaker is provided to increase stroke and interelectrode distance without increase of size of the circuit breaker. CONSTITUTION: A bidirectional operation type gas circuit breaker comprises a breaking unit for breaking fault current and an operator for operating the breaking unit. The breaking unit(301) includes a moving arc contact(303), a second movable arc contact(302), a puffer cylinder(304), a nozzle(305) and a piston(306). A coupling rod(307) is coupled to the end of the nozzle(305) and moved together with the nozzle(305). The second moving arc contact(302) includes a second movable contact moving unit. The second movable contact moving unit has a first gear coupling unit(308), a rotating gear(309), a fixed supporter(310), and a second gear coupling unit(311). The first gear coupling unit(308) is fixed at the end of the supporter(307). The rotating gear(309) converts linear motion force of the supporter to rotation motion force. The second gear coupling unit(311) converts the rotation motion force of the rotation gear(309) to linear motion force.
