PURPOSE: A method for servicing an unused account information to client by using Internet is provided to on-line offer the information related with a dormant account of an individual using Internet and to automatically transfer the balance of the dormant account to a specific account. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of accumulating the information related with dormant accounts in a database, requesting a client connected to a dormant account service web site through Internet to provide the authentication information, authenticating the client by transmitting the authentication information to a banking server when the authentication information is received from the client(206), allowing the user of the dormant account service if the client is authenticated, creating a dormant account list page and providing the list to the client(218), requesting the banking server to transfer the balance to a selected account with response to the demand by the client, performing money transfer to the selected account(226), and deleting the dormant account information from the database(230).
