PURPOSE: Provided is a sewing machine containing a display device for permitting a worker to easily know whether a button during sewing or under preparation is to be sewn at a specified portion of a shirt or not, or in what order the button be sewn at several portions. Therefore, it enables the worker to easily grasp the present sewing situation and easily set sewing conditions thereof. CONSTITUTION: This sewing machine comprises: a display device for displaying a set sewing condition; a setting device for setting a sewing condition; and a memory device for memorizing image information of an object and position information of a specified portion, wherein the display device contains a control device for controlling to display at least one of several specified portions to distinguish from other portions as well as displaying the image of an object based on the image information.
