<p>A plug-in replacement relay for automotive use incorporating a security system (43) to control the actuation of the relay is disclosed. The plug-in replacement relay derives its power supply from bridge rectifier(s) (33, 37) having their inputs connected across the coil socket connector (pins 85, 86) and/or the switching contacts (11) (pins 30, 87), allowing polarity free connection. An inhibitor circuit (31) ensures that the contacts (11) are actuated only when intended.</p> |
