<p>A vehicle seat which has a frame (14), a plurality of zigzag springs (25, 25) attached between the side frame members (17, 17) of the frame (14), and a height adjusting mechanism (38) for vertically moving the frame (14) with respect to the vehicle body. The spring end (26) of each spring (25) is positioned near the centerline dividing the side member (17) into upper and lower parts so that the distance between the spring end (26) and the centerline may be shorter than the distance between the spring end (26) and the upper edge (30) of the side member (17). The arms (51, 52) and long link (53) of the height adjusting mechanism (38) are disposed outwardly of the side member (17).</p> |
