A roll cassette capable of preventing a roll sheet from becoming loose and a tape printer, wherein an adhesive sheet (111) is stuck on the lateral end faces of the roll sheet (10) wound on a core (110), a slide spool (114) is inserted into the roll sheet while sliding from the end side of the roll sheet (10) to stick to the outside end face of the adhesive sheet (111), a leaf spring (118) is allowed to abut on the outside end face of the slide spool (114), and the elastic locking pieces (122) of a unit holder (12) are lockingly inserted into a through-hole formed at the center parts of the leaf spring (118) and the slide spool (114) and into the tube part (113) of the core (110).
