PURPOSE: A POS(Point-Of-Sale) terminal is provided to enable a user to settle with an IC card, a magnetic strip, cash, and a check, and to substantially secure the mobility of terminal, and to make a user or a buyer easy to input data. CONSTITUTION: In case that a customer pays a product price in cash, a user inputs a product code and price on a key pad(14) in a state of mounting a handset(10) on the upper part of a body(100). The inputted data transmits to a CPU(110) and the CPU performs an appropriate treatment. In case of a credit card, a debit card and a prepaid card made of a magnetic strip card, the user is sweeping the card to a magnetic strip card slot. The data read by a magnetic strip card reader(17) transmits to the CPU and the CPU performs a settling treatment after receiving an approval of the card usage from an outer payment broker system through a communication module(116). In case of a credit card, a debit card and a prepaid card made of a contact type IC card, the user inserts the card to the first IC card slot(18). The IC card reader(24) receives the data read by a contact card contacting part and decodes by using the decoded key read from a merchant card pack(23).
