PURPOSE: An electrode port of an alternating current plasma signboard and a connecting method thereof are provided to make a large scale signboard using many small scale signboard by facilitating connection of an electrode port to a driving circuit and reducing contact resistance. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display device comprises discharge cells, a front substrate and a rear substrate. Discharge cell are composed of separators formed between the front glass substrate(1) and the rear glass substrate. A transparent electrode(2) and a protection film are formed on the front substrate. A metal electrode and luminescent material are formed on the rear substrate. The transparent electrode port(2') is formed on the cut side of the front glass substrate(1) by a photolithography method, a sandblast method, or a metal masking method. The transparent electrode port(2') is connected to an electrode pin or a film connector(12) having an X metal electrode lead line(2") inside, through which an electric signal is inputted to a driving circuit. |
