<p>Disclosed herein is a pipe coupling for coupling a pair of pipes. The pipe coupling generally comprises a nipple part (100) and a female part (200). The female part (200) accommodates the nipple part (100) with a gasket (400) disposed in the circular cavity (210), and the nipple and female parts (100 and 200) are clamped together by the clamp (300) with the cam (350) of the clamp (300) inserted into the groove (150) of the nipple part (200). The gasket (400) is provided with a V-shaped groove (420) on its inside surface. The cam (350) is provided with a first inclined guide surface (370) and the groove (150) is provided with a second correspondingly inclined guide surface (170) so that the first inclined guide surface (370) is engaged with the second inclined guide surface (170) to clamp the nipple and female parts (100 and 200) together by the clamp (300).</p> |
