PURPOSE: An apparatus for compensating data of a bad pixel in an image sensor is provided to compensate for data of the bad pixel by using neighboring pixel data instead of bad pixel data. CONSTITUTION: An address control portion(100) controls an address of a pixel in order to select a data output of a desired pixel from a pixel array. A bad pixel address storage portion(120) is used for storing an address of a bad pixel. A comparator portion(140) is used for comparing an output value of the address control portion(100) with a value of the bad pixel address storage portion(120). An output buffer(160) is used for storing output data of a corresponding pixel of the pixel array. A buffer(180) is used for storing pixel data prior to the data stored in the output buffer(160). A buffer(200) is used for storing pixel data prior to the data stored in the buffer(180). A multiplexer(220) is used for outputting selectively the pixel data of the buffers(160,200) according to a compared result signal of the comparator portion(140). The bad pixel address storage portion(120) is formed by a non-volatile memory such as an EEPROM, a fuse, and a flash memory. |
