PURPOSE: An electrode structure of PDP is provided to reduce a wattage by forming a slit between scan/sustain electrodes and common/sustain electrodes. CONSTITUTION: A first and a second trigger electrodes(52Y,52Z) are formed on an upper substrate to be located at the center of the discharge cell. Scan/sustain electrodes(50Y1,50Y2) and common/sustain electrodes(50Z1,50Z2) are formed on the upper substrate to be located at the edge of the discharge cell. An address electrode(58X) is formed at the center of a lower substrate to be located at right angles to the trigger electrodes. An upper dielectric layer(59) and a protection film are laminated on the upper substrate in which the scan/sustain electrodes, the trigger electrodes and common/sustain electrodes are arranged in a row. A lower dielectric layer and a separator(60) are formed on the lower substrate. A fluorescent layer(56) is deposited on the surface of the lower dielectric layer and the separator. |
