PURPOSE: A method for repairing a tap hole of a converter is provided which not only effectively extends life cycle of the converter but also safely performing tapping operation by repairing the tap hole of the converter using a kneader agent instead of nonfinite refractory materials. CONSTITUTION: In a method for refining molten steel in a converter(1) equipped with a tap hole, the method for repairing a tap hole(2) of a converter is characterized in that the kneader agent coated on the plug is cured using a furnace heating of the converter after coating a kneader agent(9) on the surrounding part of a plug during the refining, and then inserting the kneader agent coated plug into the tap hole, wherein the kneader agent is coated in the coating amount range of 0.01 to 0.23 kg/unit area to be repaired.
