PURPOSE: A method for transmitting a background music during telephone conversation for a mobile communication system is provided to offer pleasant telephone conversation environment to an object by transmitting a voice of a transmitter together with a certain melody as the background music during the telephone conversation. CONSTITUTION: If a telephone conversation command exists by a user, a mobile communication terminal transmits a call signal and sets a telephone conversation mode according to the response of an object(303). The mobile communication terminal judges whether a background music is set for being automatically transmitted when performing a telephone conversation(304). If the background music is set, the mobile communication terminal transmits the set background music together with a voice of the user to the object during the telephone conversation(305). The mobile communication terminal judges whether a background transmission stop command exists by a keypad operation of the user(306). If the background transmission stop command exists by the keypad operation, the mobile communication terminal stops the transmission of the background music and transmits only the voice of the user(307).
