<p>The invention concerns a device arranged for example between a liner (10) and a shaft (12) comprising several hydraulic actuators or groups of hydraulic actuators (40, 42) for actuating the wedge-shaped shoes (20), interposed between corresponding surfaces (22, 24) respectively cylindrical and planar borne by the lining (10) and the shaft (12). Appropriate powering or connecting to the tank the different groups of actuators enable to offset the shaft (12) radially in the desired direction. If the shaft should rotate relative to the lining (10), a cradle mounted on the mechanical bearings is interposed between the shaft and the shoes.
