The fitting (1) is provided with a safety device (10) used during transport of the fitting. The safety device is specially provided for the pin (7) used to connect the fitting to a sliding sluice gate in a pipe. One end of the safety device can be inserted into the hole for the pin in a coupling sleeve, and one end which remains outside this bore is used to receive the pin. The fitting comprises a square cross-section rod (4) which terminates in the road surface and is surrounded by a protective tube (5). The bottom end of the fitting is connected via a coupling sleeve to the spindle for a sliding sluice gate in a pipe. The spindle is connected to the sleeve by a pin insertible into a hole in the sleeve.
