PURPOSE: A pattern spacer structure of a liquid crystal display is provided to promote the rubbing of alignment films around pattern spacers by reducing a height difference between an area having the pattern spacers and pixel areas by respectively forming the pattern spacers to the respective top and bottom plate parts, thereby removing the light leakage area. CONSTITUTION: In a pattern spacer structure of a liquid crystal display, a plurality of pattern spacers(302a,302b) are formed on top and bottom plate parts(301a,301b) in the shape of rectangle to be overlapped with each other when joining the top and bottom plates together, wherein the pattern spacers are formed at positions corresponding to a black matrix at the top plate part and corresponding to transistors or lines of the transistors at the bottom plate part.
