Setting of unit to create images in multi color printing machine using detected paper fibre orientation and stored paper characteristics

Sensor (15) detects paper fibre orientation and provides this data to control unit (13) which is connected to memory (16). Memory stores observed data (8,10) for changes in paper dimensions (4,5) e.g. for different types of paper, paper thickness, weight. Print control unit sets unit (1) to create color images (2), based on fibre orientation and observed data values before start of printing.
