An ink jet printer capable of printing on a printed paper (3) by injecting an ultraviolet ray hardening type ink on the printed paper (3) from an ink jet recording head (5), comprising an ultraviolet ray radiating device (A) following up to radiate ultraviolet ray on the printed paper (3) at a position where the ultraviolet ray hardening type ink injected from the ink jet recording head (5) is impacted, the ultraviolet ray radiating device (A) further comprising an ultraviolet ray generating part (10) for generating ultraviolet ray and optical fibers (11a, 11b) leading the generated ultraviolet ray from the ultraviolet ray generating part (10) to a position near the ink jet recording head (5), wherein the ultraviolet ray hardening type ink is hardened by radiating the ultraviolet ray from the tips of the optical fibers (11a, 11b).
