STEREO DECODER USED IN FM RADIO TUNER AND DECODING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A stereo decoder used in an FM radio tuner and a decoding method thereof are provided to improve a separating characteristic of a pilot signal in a decoding process of an FM signal. CONSTITUTION: A sampling clock generation portion(400) is synchronized with a pilot signal. The sampling clock generation portion(400) generates the first channel sampling clock signals having difference phases and the second channel sampling clock signals having difference phases. The first sample/hold circuit(410) is used for sampling and holding an FM stereo signal according to the first channel sampling clock signals and outputting the sampled and held signals as the first sample/hold signal. The first adder(420) is used for adding the first sample/hold signals and outputting the added result as the first channel signal. The second sample/hold circuit(430) is used for sampling and holding the FM stereo signal according to the second channel sampling clock signals and outputting the sampled and held signals as the second sample/hold signal. The second adder(440) is used for adding the second sample/hold signals and outputting the added result as the second channel signal.
