IC TYPE VOLTAGE CONTROLLED OSCILLATOR FOR IMPROVING PHASE NOISE

PURPOSE: An IC type voltage controlled oscillator for improving a phase noise is provided to improve a noise characteristic by separately forming a component which influences a resonant portion and a controller on a substrate and control finely an oscillating frequency error by trimming a microstrip line. CONSTITUTION: A substrate(1) has a multi-layer structure of one or more layer in order to load a circuit element or a circuit pattern(5). A voltage controlled oscillator chip(2) is formed with a resonant portion, an oscillating portion, and amplifying portion except for a varactor diode(Cv) and a microstrip line(SL). The voltage controlled oscillator chip(2) is adhered on the substrate(1). The varactor diode(Cv) is adhered on the circuit pattern(5) of the substrate(1) in order to control an oscillating frequency of a voltage controlled oscillator. The microstrip line(SL) is printed on a surface of the substrate(1) in order to determine the oscillating frequency and a phase noise. A capacitor is adhered on the circuit pattern(5) in order to control the oscillating frequency. A microstrip line for choke filter and capacitors for bypass are adhered on the circuit pattern(5).
