SHADOW MASK FOR FLAT CRT AND METHOD FOR FIXING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A shadow mask for a CRT and a method for fixing the same are provided to quickly and exactly cut an unnecessary ineffective surface. CONSTITUTION: A shadow mask comprises an effective surface(5b) having a plurality of beam through holes and an ineffective surface(5c) successively extended from the effective surface to the circumference of the effective surface. The ineffective surface(5c) includes a welding line(W) formed when the shadow mask is welded and fixed to a rail. The shadow mask includes predetermined shape cutting auxiliary holes(5e) formed at the four edges of a boundary formed between the effective surface(5b) and the ineffective surface(5c). The cutting auxiliary holes(5e) are formed at the outer of the welding lime(W).
