PURPOSE: A generating apparatus using a DC battery is provided to avoid damage to an electrode plate of the battery due to charge/discharge, lengthen life time, and enable a car to drive a long distance with a fully operated motor. CONSTITUTION: A generating apparatus comprises a battery(10), a DC motor(20), a DC generator(30), and an automatic switch(40). The battery(10) supplies 12 V, 90A current for about 60 minutes without external power to the DC motor(20). The DC motor(20) is driven by the power from the battery(10) to operate the DC generator(30). The DC generator(30) is coupled to the DC motor(20) through an operable pulley(20a) for generating 13.5 V electricity to charge the battery(10) and supply remaining electricity to the DC motor(20). The automatic switch(40) is switched to be on during operation of the DC generator(30), and to be off when the battery(10) is fully charged for avoiding overload of the DC generator(30).
