摘要 An optical recording medium such that the misalignment which is the radial relative shift of the spot of a light beam on the optical recording medium with respect to the optical recording medium is accurately measured and a misalignment measuring instrument are disclosed. The optical recording medium has <i>N</i> servo areas (113) composed of first wobble marks (211) and second wobble marks (212) and <i>N</i> data areas in/from which information is recorded/reproduced. The servo and data areas are arranged alternately in the circumferential direction. In each of the servo areas, servo pattern areas (210a to 210c) where the circumferential intervals between the first and second wobble marks are different are arranged in the radial direction. The number of tracks in each of the servo pattern areas is the same and less than N/(2 x pi ).
