PURPOSE: A sub- network aware distributed internet contents distribution network and control mechanism are provided to transmit the contents requested by a contents customer at the fastest speed on a network by mounting plural contents transmission server clusters, for transmitting various contents such as Internet real-time live programs and three-dimensional streaming, at a POP(Point Of Presence) or a peripheral network thereof and by resetting the request of the contents customer for the contents to the contents transmission server clusters. CONSTITUTION: The Internet contents distribution system includes a contents request redirection system(320) for analyzing the position of a contents customer PC(Personal Computer,100) based on the IP(Internet Protocol) address of the contents customer PC, selecting one of contents server clusters capable of serving the data to the contents customer PC with the excellent effect, and resetting the request of the contents customer PC with the selected cluster, a hierarchical contents transmission server cluster network for providing cache data according to the contents request of the contents customer PC, selecting the proper contents transmission type and transmitting a large capacity of contents to peripheral networks effectively, and a contents management system(440) for managing the contents request redirection system and the hierarchical contents transmission server cluster network.
