A reflecting mirror unit which includes a mirror, a mirror holding means holding the peripheral edge of the mirror and having a section perpendicular to the reflecting surface of the mirror, the outer peripheral portion of the section being arcuate, a first support abutting at part of its inner conical surface against part of the outer periphery of the mirror holding means on the side of the mirror reflecting surface, a second support opposed to the first support through the mirror holding means and abutting at part of its inner conical surface against part of the outer periphery of the mirror holding means on the side of the mirror back, and a pressing and fixing means pressing the first and second supports against the mirror holding means, thereby reliably maintaining the fixed state of the mirror after angle adjustment and making it possible to reduce the size and weight of the unit.
