PRE-SHAMPOO CONDITIONING COMPOSITION

Disclosed are a hair conditioning composition having an oil-continuous phase for applying to the dry hair prior to shampooing, comprising: (a) a conditioning oil which is in liquid form at 25 DEG C; and (b) a nonionic surfactant in an amount which provides phase inversion when the composition is in contact with an abundant amount of water, a method of conditioning the hair and a method of increasing the bulk hair volume by applying the composition to dry hair before shampooing it.
