A brushless motor in which the rotor (2) is divided into four quadrants, each having at least one recess (9,10) whose central region is arranged at 45 DEG with respect to the axes along which the quadrant is ideally defined; a permanent magnet (15,19) shaped like a parallelepiped being inserted within the region of the recess (9, 10).
