The operating drive includes an electronic transformer (10), for converting the AC mains network voltage into the correct operating voltage for the DC or AC drive motor (4). The electronic transformer is mounted on a circuit board (9) contained within the drive housing (31) and can be coupled to the AC network supply lines via a relay, with a second relay between the transformer and the motor.
